Avid Pro Tools 12.8 has now arrived with a range of new improvements and enhancements designed to boost your workflow and add additional features. The Cloud Collaboration feature has been expanded, allowing you to work with up to 10 collaborators on a single project. You can also collaborate in real-time with more Pro Tools users. Time-saving processing tools have also been added, helping to speed up your workflow. You can now demo ideas while creating via Revision History, simplifying your creative process. A range of premium-grade virtual instruments, effects and sound processing plugins have also been added, allowing you to get the most out of Pro Tools. Other features include VCA Masters, Disk Cache, extended metering and more advanced features, made with audio professionals in mind.
64 Bit Architecture and new Avid Audio Engine
The all new Avid Audio Engine provides multiple times the processing power of prior editions of Pro Tools. You can add epic numbers of virtual instruments and effects to your music and experience performance like never before. The extra memory gives you more scope to go even bigger and handle huge sessions with ease. The software gives ultra-low latency with dedicated input and playback buffers on native systems without sacrificing plug-in performance. Dynamic host processing reallocates resources as needed and lets you maximize plug-in counts. Time stamped plug-in automation gives you more accurate mixing and processing.
Offline Bounce
Speed up mix and stem deliveries with faster than real time offline bounce. There's support for HDX and native systems and up to 150x faster than real time (a 1 hour radio show in 45 seconds). It's also ultra-accurate with time-stamped automation.
Avid Video Engine
Play and edit HD video with the new Avid Video Engine, the same core engine as in Media Composer. Do everything right there in the Pro Tools timeline without transcoding. Produce HD video with many options from Avid, AJA and Blackmagic Designs.

Advanced Metering
Pro Tools features a broad range of built in metering standards to maintain adherence to regional broadcast requirements. There are 17 metering standards and types built in displayed in a higher resolution and 30 taller. There's a gain reduction meter in channel for total dynamics processing feedback (HD only) and Master Tracks can display separate meter type than other tracks. Greater visual feedback means you can deliver the best mixes with an extended selection of built in metering standards. Mini dynamics metering, mini sends view and expanded sends view are all amongst the new features (HD only).
Annual Upgrade Plan
Upon purchase and registration you will receive the latest edition of Pro Tools with a lifetime license which will allow you to use the product in its entirety.
The included Annual Upgrade Plan is a yearlong contract which allows you to receive all the latest downloads updates and support for your Avid Pro Tools software.
Please Note: If you do not renew your upgrade plan before the year expires you will no longer be eligible and will not be able to renew at a later date. However, you will still own the full license of Avid Pro Tools and can continue to use it in its entirety from the last upgraded version but will be unable to add any future updates.
