Synthesizers

The Synthesizer is an electronic instrument that manipulates, generates and combines complex waveforms in order to produce sounds. Most synths are part of a traditional Keyboard with controller knobs, allowing the user to play these sounds in a musical arrangement and change the parameters of the sound in real-time. An Analog synth, such as the Moog Little Phatty, uses analog circuitry, whereas digital synths use a microprocessor, much like those found in a computer – the Korg MicroKorg uses this technology to model analog synthesis.
