Once fiercest of rivals, Epiphone was bought by Gibson in 1957. Originally bought to harness their renowned bass guitars, Gibson revived Epiphone allowing them to use Gibson designs to re-create more affordable bass and electric guitars. Since then Epiphone have made iconic basses and guitars - John Lennon and Noel Gallagher being the brand’s most famous endorsees. Epiphone produce a range of signature basses from bass guitarists such as Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue and Jack Cassidy of Jefferson Airplane. |
