Out of the the humble setting of his father’s garage, Lyndon Laney officially founded Laney Amplification in 1967 only a few years after building the first official Laney amplifier. As an active yet struggling bassist during the 1960’s, Lyndon turned his hand to building amplifiers. With the likes of Tony Iommi, Robert Plant and John Bonham among friends, Lyndon quickly gained a dedicated customer base. Today, Laney amps are used by guitarists worldwide - notable users include no other than Steve Vai and Joe Satriani. The Laney amp range spans through solid-state and valve models, combos, heads, cabinets and all in between. In particular, the ‘Lionheart’ valve series are highly regarded for their classic tube-tone and vintage-styling. |
