Natural and Responsive Feel

Coming as standard with a quiet and responsive snare pad, 3 toms, hi-hat and cymbals, the WHD 516 looks and feels like a standard acoustic kit, but with the extra bonus of being able to change sounds at the push of a button. A dual trigger, velocity sensitive snare and velocity sensitive tom pads ensure a more realistic rim and head triggering, and the cymbals have a choke feature. The hi-hat pedal has a half open feature, giving a more realistic sound, and getting it even closer to an acoustic kit; simple yet highly effective.

Realistic Acoustic Drum Sounds

This electronic drum kit boasts an impressive 400 individual drum, cymbal and percussion sounds, which have been carefully arranged into 29 preset kits, with the ability to change the individual sounds and volumes and store these to 16 user kits. Each sound has been carefully sampled and reacts accurately to how hard you strike the pad, just like an acoustic kit. As well as having control over the sounds used in the kit, you can change the individual volumes quickly and easily giving you further scope for creativity.

Perfect Your Technique

The 80 preset songs have been selected to give a wide range of fun and informative tracks for play along. Perfect for practice, the drum track can be removed so you can take this role yourself. An inbuilt metronome helps you keep time whilst the LCD display lets you know if you play too fast or too slow.

The intuitive learning mode includes a set of exercises designed to help build speed, accuracy and stamina - three of the most useful attributes for an aspiring drummer.

Connectivity and Adaptability

The WHD 516 has been developed to offer a range of connectivity options. The aux in allows you to connect an mp3 or CD player which is great for learning new songs. Play silently using headphones or use the output to connect an amplifier or PA system if you like it loud! The WHD 516 also boasts MIDI and USB capability.

If you want to add to your kit the WHD has additional ports for another tom or crash so there's no need to purchase a whole new kit - the 516 can progress as you do.
