Apollo Monitor Correction - optimise the acoustic performance of your monitors
Apollo Monitor Correction introduces powerful new features that elevate your studio monitoring experience. By integrating seamlessly with Sonarworks' SoundID Reference software, Apollo now provides precise speaker and headphone calibration directly through its onboard DSP. This means real-time correction without needing the SoundID Reference plug-in or app once your profiles are loaded onto Apollo.
With monitor correction, your room’s acoustic characteristics are measured using a microphone and the SoundID Reference Measure app, creating a profile that runs on Apollo's DSP for consistent accuracy. Headphone correction ensures a neutral listening experience by applying pre-calibrated profiles for over 500 popular headphone models. The target mode feature allows you to fine-tune your monitoring setup to match industry-standard references, including Flat Target, Dolby Atmos Music, and car audio environments, or create a custom target.
Please Note: This interface requires Apollo Monitor Correction Add-on and SoundID Reference licenses to use the Apollo Monitor Correction technology, available from sonarworks.com. For full compatibility information refer to help.uaudio.com
AutoGain and more with UAD Console app
Universal Audio’s UAD Console app gives you complete control over your audio workflow. This intuitive digital mixer lets you route inputs, set up cue mixes, and manage plug-in scenes with ease. Features like Auto-Gain streamline your recording process, ensuring you never miss the right levels. The app also integrates immersive audio monitoring, Bass Management for adding a subwoofer, and alternate speaker switching for quick A/B comparisons during mixdown. For those working in both small and expanding studios, the UAD Console app ensures that you can tailor your setup to fit your production style, helping you stay creative and efficient throughout the session.
Elite audio conversion for pristine sound
At the core of the Apollo X4 Gen 2 is its elite-class audio conversion. Offering 24-bit/192 kHz resolution and enhanced D/A converters, this interface ensures you hear every nuance in your recordings. With an industry-leading dynamic range of 129 dB and ultra-low distortion, it’s designed to deliver the most accurate representation of your sound during recording, mixing, and playback.
This makes it ideal for critical listening environments, where every detail in the audio chain needs to be perfectly captured and reproduced. Whether you’re monitoring through headphones or speakers, the Apollo Twin X provides consistent and reliable sound, helping you make informed decisions during your production process.
Unison mic preamps for iconic sound
The Apollo X4 Gen 2 includes four Unison™ mic preamps that allow you to emulate the world’s most renowned preamp designs from Neve, API, Avalon, and more. This means you can capture vocals and instruments with the same sonic character heard on countless hit records. By adjusting impedance and gain staging, the Unison™ technology delivers authentic analog textures that add warmth and depth to your recordings. For instrumentalists, the dual front panel Hi-Z inputs provide the same level of realism for direct guitar and bass recording, giving you the rich sound of classic tube amps and pedals.
Powerful DSP for real-time processing
The QUAD Core DSP in the Apollo Twin X is designed to handle complex plug-in chains without burdening your computer’s processor. This makes it possible to record and mix with high-quality UAD plug-ins in real time, including titles from Auto-Tune, Capitol Chambers, Teletronix, and many more. With access to over 200 plug-ins, you can sculpt your tracks using legendary tools without worrying about latency or performance issues. For producers working on large, CPU-intensive projects, this hybrid system of native and DSP processing ensures that your sessions run smoothly, regardless of their complexity.
