Marimbas

The Marimba is a tuned percussion instrument that comprises of wooden bars with resonators, where the bars are struck with mallets to produce the note. Although more commonly known as a solo instrument, there have been many modern orchestral works that now include the marimba. This is due to its distinctive tone, which is perfect for many film scores.
