Trombones

The trombone is a brass instrument most noticeable by the use of a slide as opposed to valves or keys to change the pitch of the instrument. Starting life in early music as the Sackbut, the modern trombone comes in various sizes, from the small alto trombone right through to the bass trombone, with the most common size being a tenor. Some trombones also come with triggers, which provide greater pitch range and aid tuning.
