Pioneer DJ’s core business is DJ and club equipment. However, they’ve dug their way into creating high-quality music production gear and PA equipment including studio monitors and PA speakers. Durability, longevity, and innovative features are the reasons that have enabled Pioneer DJ to become the industry standard. They aim to push ahead with innovative product development, design, and sales, so they can continue to lead the industry creating products for beginners, hobbyists, and professional DJs.
The company started in 1994 with their world exclusive CDJ-500, the world’s first flat-top CD player for DJs. From their beginning they have always strived to produce top-quality equipment and have held onto that reputation for over 20 years. Moving onto 1995 they release the professional DJ mixer DJM-500, the first in the world to offer the Beat FX feature. Fast-forward to 2001 and the creation of the CDJ-1000 hits the market offering a ‘scratch’ mode that gives the feeling of manipulating CDs directly just like vinyl.
In 2011 they release the CDJ-2000, creating a brand-new DJ lifestyle for the digital file music era. Then in 2012 the CDJ-2000NXS multi-player is released, a staple in many clubs still today. By 2017 Pioneer DJ released the XDJ-RX2, an all-in-one DJ controller that offers a large display touch screen and multi-coloured performance pads. In 2018 they released the DDJ-1000, a dedicated 4-channel controller for rekordbox dj, offering a full-size professional layout in a compact and portable solution ideal for mobile DJs.
2019 is where Pioneer DJ move into the entry-level market releasing the DDJ-200 DJ controller allowing beginners to experiment with DJ-ing using their smartphones. In the year 2020, they release the CDJ-3000 multi-player, offering rock-solid stability and reliability.
