The company started in 1994 with their world exclusive CDJ-500, the world’s first flat-top CD player for DJs. Moving onto 1995 they release the professional DJ mixer DJM-500, the first in the world to offer the Beat FX feature. Fast-forward to 2001 and the creation of the CDJ-1000 hits the market offering a ‘scratch’ mode that gives the feeling of manipulating CDs directly just like vinyl.
