Craft your perfect effects combination. The MOD Duo's pre-loaded effects can be edited using the pedal itself, meaning you can tweak each individual effect and how you want it to sound. However, for even more extensive, intricate alterations, the pedal can be connected to your computer.
This allows you to tinker, adapt, and improve every single effect loaded onto your MOD Duo to suit your own needs. Connect the pedal to your PC or Mac via the built-in USB port, and access MOD Devices' online editing software simply and easily through your browser - no need for timely, irritating downloads!
From here, the easy-to-navigate interface will let you rework each individual effect within your device to an extremely precise level. You can alter virtual control dials, switching, and even cables and FX loops to carefully craft any sound you've been dreaming of. Then you can save your setup to the pedal itself and use it remotely with pretty much any audio you can think of. Sound possibilities have never been this limitless.
Endless choice
Build your collection. If the already extensive multitude of effects pre-loaded onboard the MOD Duo isn't enough for you, then MOD Devices have an online plug-in library where you can download even more effects to play with
The best thing about this library is that the vast majority of the effects available are completely free of charge. MOD Devices are also opening up their library to third-party effects developers who can offer bespoke, paid plug-ins. You've never had access to effects as wide-ranging as this.
Natural-sounding effects
Authentic sound. An issue with many multi-effects pedals is that the solely digital sound can often produce artificial-sounding audio that lacks natural sparkle. MOD Devices have solved this problem by making the Duo a hybrid digital-analog pedal. Digitally generated effects will shine with genuine, organic sound thanks to an analog preamp. Your guitar, vocals, keyboard, or any other audio will sizzle with natural clarity, and without the need for a computer onstage.
A company built around the MOD Duo
MOD Devices started up as a business simply to make this pedal. Founder Gianfranco Ceccolini was determined to design a multi-effects unit that would never run out of effects and could slot easily into a live setup without needing a computer to control it.
Gianfranco's vision was one that the music world bought into. In 2014, he set up a Kickstarter campaign to gather the funding to develop the Duo. This was immensely successful, with many enthused enough by the idea to invest their money into the project in the hope the product would be a success.
Ever since, MOD Devices have gone from strength to strength. Continued development and improvement of the Duo unit has seen the effects possible expand, sound quality increase, and popularity grow significantly. All of this has led to much critical acclaim, with Sound On Sound magazine describing the Duo as a pedal "brimming over with potential". A truly unique pedal with endless possibilities.
