History of the Messiah Stradivarius Violin
As Antonio Stradivari's prized violin, the Messiah Violin laid completely untouched, never played, never sold until after his death. After making its way around Europe through the hands of nobility and the greatest violin traders, it was eventually bought by the Notable Hill brothers of W.E.Hill+Sons of England. The prestigious violin now rests in the Ashmolean Museum for all to appreciate.
Stunning Tonewoods
The use of maple and spruce is a tried and tested combination used in superior quality violins. This combination produces a focused, powerful sound with plenty of body and tonal warmth, which will only improve over time. The woods are hand selected based on their age, before being hand carved for a sound and appearance full of heritage. The distance between the grain of the woods affects the resonance of the instrument, with a narrower grain resulting in a more responsive, full bodied and weighted sound with a strong tonal core. The maple back and sides help provide a hard-wearing violin that works with the narrow grain spruce, to provide a unique instrument with incredible response, projection and full tonal body with unlimited potential.
Gold Level Set Up with Pirastro Strings
This Messiah Stradivarius Replica Violin undergoes a gold level set up, which ensures that it's ready to go as soon as it reaches the player. Pirastro's highly regarded Evah Pirazzi Strings have been selected for their incredible power, expression and soft hand feel, while maintaining the tonal characteristics of the finest gut core strings. The instrument is completely stripped down and the nut is filed to the optimum height and spacing for the Evah Pirazzi strings and instrument. This results in ease of play for the performer, whilst producing the maximum amount of resonance and projection, allowing the player to make the most of the instrument. Combined with a High Grade Despiau Bridge hand selected for its resonant qualities, this creates incredible playability without causing issues to intonation or tonal power.
