19 Microphone Capsules – Ambisonic Microphone
The Zylia ZM-1 Standard Set is an Ambisonic microphone bundle featuring the ZM-1 microphone and dedicated music software. The ZM-1 microphone is a specialised 3D ambinsonic microphone comprised of 19 individual MEMS omnidirectional microphone capsules. This delivers 360-degree sound for various recording applications.
The 19 capsules deliver high-end recording resolution of 24-bit/48kHz capturing your source audio with incredible detail. Once you have a 360-degree recording you can manipulate and configure the data through the Zylia Studio software. You can separate sound sources and even use the Automix feature to get a clean demo recording. The Pro set is also available with provides the means to emulate virtual microphone and surround sound recordings.
Ideal For Bands, Orchestras, VR Recording and Audio/Visual Work
The ZM-1 is the perfect choice for bands and other ensemble. The simple setup and multitrack recording capabilities makes it great for recording a wide range of sound sources at the same time. This can be great for recording orchestras, as it gives you a full sound with the option of mixing the separate tracks for mixing and mastering purposes.
It is also ideal for podcasting. It allows you to detect multiple voices positioned around the microphone. It allows you to minimise phase and cross talk problems, resulting in a cleaner recording. The ZM-1 combined with the Zylia Studio Software is also great for 3D sound designers, allowing you to recording to multiple surround sound formats, perfect for VR.
Zylia Studio Pro Music Software
The ZM-1 comes complete with the dedicated Zylia Studio Pro software. This specially-design music software allows you to record, mix and edit your music within a single program. It also allows you to extract individual tracks from your recording, helping to isolate instruments and vocal parts. It provides the ability to separate sound sources and even features an Automix feature which is great for demos and quick mixes.
The Studio Pro software provides added functionality and special features exclusive to the pro version. Using the Studio pro software you can utilise signal separation. This can then open up the ability to turn the 19 capsules into an unlimited number of virtual microphones. The spatial filtering functionality allows you to clean up mixes even more, ideal for mixing and mastering.
The Pro software also allows you to use the ZM-1 as a VST/AU plugin. You can use this within your faovurite DAW for real-time manipulation of the microphone.
Zylia Ambisonics Converter Software
Also included with the Pro set is the Zylia Amibsonics Converter. This specialised software is designed to work exclusively with the ZM-1. It allows you to convert the High Order Ambisonics format up to the third order. It is also compatible with 360-degree Facebook and YouTube videos. It can also be used as a VST plugins or as a standalone version.
Compact, Portable Design with Tripod Stand
The sleek and compact design is highly portable, allowing you to take your ZM-1 anywhere you go. The beautifully-designed Ambisonic microphone features built-in windscreens which help to eliminate background noise and improve sonic clarity.
It only requires a USB connection, eliminating the need for an external power supply. The lightweight yet robust design comes complete with a tripod stand, mount adapter and a micro USB cable measuring at 3 metres in length.
