Kaoss Pad V introduces dual-touch operation, allowing two fingers to control separate parameters at once. This opens up deeper performance possibilities, such as combining filtering with delay, pitch movement with reverb, or modulation with feedback.
Each gesture adds movement and variation, helping performances feel dynamic rather than static. The touch surface reacts immediately, translating subtle changes into musical results. This makes Kaoss Pad V well suited to expressive sound shaping in live situations, where physical interaction plays a big role in how a performance feels and looks.
Designed to connect with modern setups
Kaoss Pad V is built to slot easily into a wide range of workflows. Microphone, line, and USB inputs can be used together, letting you blend vocals, instruments, and computer audio in one setup. The balanced mic preamp provides clean vocal capture, while the dedicated high-impedance input supports direct connection of electric guitars and basses.
An integrated USB audio interface simplifies recording and streaming, removing the need for additional hardware. A redesigned power circuit and updated audio path contribute to stable, low-noise operation across studio and stage environments.

The new Voice FX engine expands Kaoss Pad V beyond traditional effects processing. It enables real-time vocal treatments such as harmonies, vocoder textures, and pitch-based transformations, adding character and movement to performances.
For guitarists and bass players, the dedicated input supports ambient swells, rhythmic modulation, glitch-style effects, and expansive reverbs, all shaped through intuitive fingertip control on the pad.
Sampling, looping, and customisation tools
Kaoss Pad V includes expanded sampling and looping features designed for capturing ideas quickly. You can sample up to eight bars, overdub layers in real time, and maintain accurate loop position during playback. BPM-synced Step Hold helps keep loops locked to the groove, while multiple playback and slicing modes support creative rearrangement.
A curated collection of effects from previous KAOSS generations sits alongside newer programs, preserving the series’ character. Onboard editing allows parameters, LED colours, and program behaviour to be adjusted and saved, making it easy to tailor the unit to your performance style.
