Sound Design Ability
The Doepfer A-111-5v has a wide range of sound design capability. It features all the essential tools you need for creating and shaping big, beefy analogue sounds. Use the VCO section to start creating your sound with various waveforms and pitch, then modulate your sound with the LFO or FM. Additionally, add some filtering to shape the texture of your sound, and switch between various LFO shapes and ranges to experiment with sound designing. The mini synthesizer voice provides you with a range of controls for fine tuning your sound, allowing you to achieve a wide range of tones.
Powerful VCO
The VCO section features a range of controls for creating your analogue sound. The Doepfer A-111-5v is equipped with pitch/frequency control, plus a range switch for fine tuning your pitch. The Doepfer A-111-5v comes with a sawtooth wave, and triangle wave, as well as pulse width modulation, ideal for creating chunky analogue sounds. It also includes frequency modulation allowing you to get that classic FM sound. You can control the modulation source with the LFO and ADSR. Additionally, if the VCO waveform switch is positioned in the middle, and the VCF resonance is at maximum, the module can be used as a sine oscillator.
Low-Pass Filter & Aggressive Resonance
The filter is a 24dB low pass filter with -12 octave frequency range, and a resonance control for shaping the texture of your sound. Additionally, the filter also includes an exponential FM control, with a switch for changing the modulation source between LFO2 or ADSR. This allows you to modulate the VCF by the triangle wave of the VCO, enabling you to shape your sound even more.
LFO Modulation
Featured on the Doepfer A-111-5v are 2 LFOs, both equipped with manual frequency control, range and shape switches. The LFOs can be used to modulate your sound source. They feature a waveform switch for changing between triangle and rectangle waveforms, allowing you to further shape your tone. Frequencies are determined by the frequency control, whilst the range switch allows you to choose between low/audio/medium.
ADSR
The Doepfer A-111-5v is equipped with an ADSR allowing you to shape the transients of your sound. This provides you with full control of attack, decay, sustain, and release, allowing you to fine tune the dynamics. The ADSR signal can also be used for external modules.
