The Bitwig Studio and Nektar LX49 Bundle is an ideal setup, and provides everything you need to start producing your own music, and the included NP-1 Sustain Pedal gives you added control to fine tune your sound.
Nektar Impact LX49
The Nektar Impact LX49 MIDI Controller Keyboard features 49 full-size, piano-style keys which are covered to protect against dirt and dust along with complementing the Impact LX design. You can quickly shift the keyboard up and down to fit your needs with the Octave and Transpose buttons along with pitch bend and modulation wheels. The Octave and Transpose buttons can also be used for sending out MIDI program messages, changing the Global MIDI channel or select any of Impact LX's 5 user presets, enabling you to make changes at any time, even while playing.
The 8 velocity sensitive pads are great for creating beats and rhythms. The "Pad Learn" feature allows you to assign each pad to a particular note or drum sound, enabling you to create the beats and groove you want with the notes you desire. No need to worry about your settings, the assignments you make are stored over power cycling so they're ready for you when your turn your system back on. In addition, 4 pad map locations can store your settings for future recall.
Quickly switch between independent and unique setups with the 2 non-overlapping, read-only presets on the Mixer and Instrument buttons, which are also used for Impact LX's integrated DAW support. In addition, 5 user presets are programmed for GM compatible and "learn-friendly" setups plus they can of course be overwritten with your own settings. With the Impact LX's "Null" function switched to on, parameter values are stored when you switch between presets so you avoid parameter jumping.
Bitwig Studio
Using 20 years of expertise, Bitwig Studio has been created by musicians, for musicians, including all the best concepts the Bitwig team could come up with... and then some!
The interface offers fast and efficient workflows and flexible editing, allowing you to record and produce your music without getting frustrated by technology. Bitwig Studio's arranger is a perfect mix of editing power, ease-of-use and flexibility.
The Arranger clip launcher is a non-linear environment that lets you trigger clips in real-time, and audio can be stretched to fit your track instantly - perfect for roughing out ideas or creating music more spontaneously. In addition to traditional track automation, automation can also be recorded and packaged inside clips, both on the clip launcher and the arranger.
The Unified Modulation System allows the use of Macro Controls, Note Expressions, LFOs, and Envelope Followers to modulate any device parameter, including nested internal devices and VST plug-ins. This semi-modular system is simple to use and expands the sound capabilities of a device way beyond the confines of its individual parameters.
Bitwig Studio also comes with a complete complement of editing tools for both audio and MIDI. It's fast to use with advanced layered editing, multiple audio events per clip plus much more. The foundation is a state-of-the-art audio engine under the hood, with full multi-processing support, a unified modulation system, 32/64-bit VST plug-in bridging, and VST plug-in crash protection.
Bitwig Studio offers flexible screensets to take full advantage of your monitor configuration. The user interface has been meticulously crafted to make your music creation experience fun and intuitive. Multiple users can jam on the same document, and everything can be captured in the document's arrangement.
Nektar NP-1 Footswitch
The Nektar NP-1 universal footswitch is solid, rugged and ideal for both studio and live performances. Rubber contact surfaces provide a strong grip and keep the footswitch in place. A polarity switch ensures the device works with all keyboards and the 6ft cable with 1/4'' jack gives you flexibility in placement.
