Analog and Digital I/O
The Nanoface has 6 audio I/Os which is ideal for a small home studio, DJ or surround set-up. A MIDI input and two MIDI outputs form a perfect combination for connecting a keyboard and external synthesizers or samplers. The Nanoface's 4 analog inputs (two of them equipped with high quality mic preamps) allow simultaneous recording of different sources such as a mic, guitar and synth. They also provide a flexible setup for monitoring two stereo signals at the same time eg with main speakers and headphones. The signal from output 1/2 can be routed to output 3/4 and individually adjusted.
Electrical instruments such as guitar or bass need a special instrument input with Hi-Z characteristics for direct recording. The Nanoface provides this input on its right side. Perfect for spontaneous jam sessions with a notebook or as mobile recording station without the need for more equipment ? live or with band rehearsals.
The digital I/O works in standard SPDIF format making the Nanoface the ideal partner for a digital signal from a CD player or an effect unit as a source for an external DA converter.
Simple, Easy Controls
The Nanoface was designed with ease of usability at the core. Almost everything can be controlled with the big silver rotary encoder on the front of the device. The analog gains for the four inputs, all output levels and special features such as phantom power and hardware monitoring can be controlled with this encoder. All mixing, channel routing and digital levels will be controlled by your individual audio software.
