The UMC1820 provides 18 inputs and 20 outputs, giving you plenty of flexibility when recording multiple performers or hardware devices. Eight combination XLR/TRS inputs let you connect microphones, instruments, and line-level equipment simultaneously, while dedicated MIDI I/O makes it easy to integrate controllers, drum machines, and other MIDI hardware. Whether you're tracking a full drum kit, recording a rehearsal session, or managing a larger project studio setup, the available connections help keep everything organised and ready to record.
Capture detail with Midas preamps
At the heart of the UMC1820 are eight Midas-designed microphone preamps. Known for their transparent and detailed performance, these preamps help preserve the character of your microphones and sources. Combined with professional 24-bit/96kHz converters, the interface captures recordings with the resolution needed for music production, podcasting, and post-production work. Plus, selectable phantom power allows you to use condenser microphones when a project calls for extra sensitivity and detail.
Monitor without distracting delay
Recording performances feels more natural when monitoring is immediate. The UMC1820 features zero-latency direct monitoring, allowing performers to hear their input signal without waiting for it to pass through software. This can help improve timing and confidence during recording sessions. Two dedicated headphone outputs, each with independent level control, make it easy to create monitoring arrangements for different performers, while Monitor A/B source selection supports cueing and playback management.
