Next-generation Serato controller

The Pioneer DDJ-SZ2 DJ Controller for Serato builds on the foundations of the original flagship DDJ-SZ controller. The MK2 version includes a wide range of technological improvements as well as a range of upgrades. The full-sized aluminium jog wheels for optimises for scratching, with an added Jog Feeling Adjust control, allowing you to set the resistance. The jog-wheels feature illuminated cue point markets with an ultra-accurate countdown for added convenience.

The jog wheel latency has also been improved for added precision, following your movements to the touch. There a range of dedicated Serato DJ controls embedded within the controller including Key shift, key sync and pitch. The Pitch Play control allows you to hit cues across a range of different keys, adding extra flare to drops and more.

Advanced performance controls

The DDJ-SZ2 DJ Controller features a wide range of advanced performance controls including backlit performance pads. These velocity-sensitive backlit performance pads allow you to instantly trigger Hot Cues, Roll, Sampler, Slicer, Cue Loop, Saved Loop, Slicer Loop and Pitch Play providing added control over your mixing. The multi-coloured back LEDs shine brightly in low-light environments, ideal for the club. They multi-colour configuration also provides a visual reference to which modes are in play as well as cue points within the Serato DJ software.

A built-in professional oscillator sampler is included within the mixer section. The Oscillator features four, high-quality sounds you can trigger at the touch of a button. These sounds include: Noise, Drop, Laser and Siren. These samples eliminate the need for external equipment such as samplers and MPCs. The Oscillator section also includes a Volume and Parameter control for modulating the texture and level of your sound.

Exceptional audio fidelity

The exceptional audio quality the Pioneer DDJ-SZ2 provides is thanks to the high-performance D/A converter by Cirrus Logic Incorporated. The low-jitter crystal oscillators ensures faithful reproduction of audio sources for a powerful and rich sound. The controller also features 2 USB sound cards and ports built-in for added versatility.

The dual USB ports allow you to hook-up two computers at the same time. It also allows you to use the top-loaded A/B switch for seamless DJ transitions. A new feature ‘Slip Mode’ also allows you to keep tracks playing muted during live edits. This is ideal for applications such as looping, scratching or reversing the music. Once you release the jog wheel, the track will fall back exactly to the right place.

Advanced built-in FX section

The dedicated advanced FX section features a multitude of premium-grade effects. The Sound Colour FX section gives you four option, allowing you to trigger Pitch, Echo, Jet and Filter FX, accompanied by a level/depth dial for manipulating the sound. The Oscillator sampler also provides added sounds that you can add for drop ins and drop outs.

All faders on the controller are specialise Magvel Faders, designed for smooth control and optimal longevity. The two metal shafts support the fader knobs, with the contact-free magnetic system, designed to improve the smooth operation and longevity of the faders. The highly portable and rugged design of the Pioneer DDJ-SZ2 makes it ideal as the keystone of any DJs setup. Providing advanced performance controls, in a compact and highly rugged enclosure.
