Powerful, Robust Design
This 1400W, three-way, tri-amped speaker system can deliver huge power without sacrificing sound quality or reliability. The six DSP-based SmartSpeaker modes allows you to quickly optimise the EQ for any live situation. With built-in features such as: modulation and reverb effects, acoustic guitar modelling, 12-band feedback suppression, virtual tilt-back and L6 Link, you always have total control over your sound. Complemented by its sturdy, tour-grade enclosure and the L3M will deliver reliable, high quality performance every time.
Self Aware Speaker
Optical sensors and an internal accelerometer allow the L3M to automatically sense and adjust its settings for best performance. This intelligent feature first detects whether the speaker is mounted on a pole and, if so, assumes you have the speaker angled as you wish. If it is not mounted on a pole, Virtual Tilt-Back is activated projecting the outputted sound upwards. Alternatively, when laid on its side, monitor mode will be activated reducing bass response enabling this versatile speaker to function as an outright monitor. P.A. and Playback modes will not use this as to not interfere with specialised setups.
Six Speaker Modes
The ‘Speaker Mode’ button allows for quick switching between six separate speaker modes with different EQ controls: Reference/P.A., Playback, Floor Monitor, Keyboards, Acoustic Guitar, and Electric Guitar.
- ‘Reference/P.A.’ - has a flat frequency response, a 2.2kHz crossover frequency and maximum low frequency extension making it ideal for live sound reinforcement.
- ’Playback’ - similar to P.A. but with added emphasis at extreme low and high frequencies
- ’Floor Monitor’ - again similar to P.A. but with a slight reduction of low frequency content. When powered on its side, this mode will automatically be selected.
- ’Keyboards’ - provides a warmer response better suited to instruments; a flat frequency response with a 3.5kHz crossover frequency.
- ’Acoustic Guitar’ - has a tailored low-frequency response to reduce ‘boominess’, again with a 3.5kHz crossover frequency.
- ’Electric Guitar’ - emulates a 212 combo amp by giving the dual 10’’ speakers full range with the horn only adding a tiny amount of ‘sparkle’.
Additional Features
Integrated L6 Link technology means easy and hassle-free connectivity to other Line 6 speakers. This may be especially useful to those wanting to integrate the L3M into a P.A. setup.
The 12 band Feedback Suppression finds and solves your feedback issues at the touch of a button. The feedback analyser has 3 selectable modes depending on how aggressively you would like to work.
Acoustic modelling in the L3M is based on Line 6’s Variax Acoustic Technology which works by combining the acoustic guitar’s dry piezo signal with a physical model of an acoustic guitar’s natural resonance to simulate the sound of a mic’d acoustic guitar in a studio.
