With the ZM-4 Line Input Module, you can connect virtually any audio source seamlessly with both audio input and stereo output. Connect your favourite effects pedals and create effects loops, add backing tracks from drum machines or your favourite synth sound without the hassle. The stereo output can even be used as a dual mono output, allowing you to separate and process each track individually.
Stay on beat
An extremely handy addition, the Sync inputs and outputs eliminate the need for external clocks to maintain time, now you can remain on beat with all of your time-based effects such as reverb and delay.
The brains of your system
An essential tool with modern synthesizers and sequencers is the use of MIDI. The ZM-4 features MIDI in and out, allowing you to control external synthesizers through your OP-Z sequencer. Conversely, the ZM-4's MIDI out can be used to power your OP-Z through external equipment such as a keyboard or computer. This is perfect for the live performing musician looking for a central system where each part of your signal chain is interchangeable and as flexible as can be for your show.
One touch trigger
With the press of one button, you can trigger your OP-Z sequence through external sources such as a modular synth, Pocket Operator or keyboards using the Trigger output control. This is ideal for live musicians, offering the ability to play complex sequences through external sources with the touch of one button and always remain on time.
Pocket sized power
A staple in the Teenage Engineering product line-up is the Pocket Operators. To ensure maximum versatility and connectivity, the ZM-4 features a PO output, allowing you to tempo-sync your favourite sounds on the go and start building your sequence on your OP-Z to the beat.
Simple to install
It couldn't be easier to unlock the power of the ZM-4. All you need to do is flip the OP-Z on its front and locate the bespoke slot for the Line Input Module. Once it's in, simply power up and unleash your creativity. Freely patching audio from external sources or crafting effects loops with your favourite pedals or processors.
