6 YEAR EXTENDED WARRANTY SCHEME

The product price includes 6 years' warranty and 180 day money back guarantee.

However, the Gear4music extended warranty scheme provides an enhanced service, and is designed to offer a higher level of protection than many 'free' warranties offered by some retailers and manufacturers.

The highlights of this enhanced warranty service are:

  • Warranty is extended to 6 years from the date of delivery.
  • Our Money Back guarantee is extended from 30 days to 180 days (terms apply after 30 days)
  • Collection and delivery costs are included for the first 2 years
  • Claim 50% cash back on the cost of the policy after 6 years if it has not been used!
  • Warranty is transferable if the item is re-sold
  • Loan or replacement equipment will be provided if the product isn't repaired within 30 days
  • If an item can not be repaired, a similar alternative product or cash discount (as defined in this policy) will be offered
  • The policy can be cancelled within 30 days, and at any time after that for a pro-rata discount

Please note that this extended warranty is currently only available on products sold within the EU or EEA, and is subject to the terms and conditions as detailed on the extended warranty certificate provided.

For customers in outlying areas of the country, the price of the Extended Warranty may be marginally higher, due to the potential for higher collection and redelivery transport costs.

This enhanced warranty is in addition to the standard Gear4music and manufacturer warranty policies, and the Gear4music terms and conditions of trade. No statement or condition of sale contained within these terms affects or restricts your statutory rights as defined under the Consumer Contracts Regulation 2014.

Squier Bullet Mustang HH, Imperial Blue

Details
The Squier Bullet Mustang HH in Imperial Blue is a short scale-length guitar based on the Fender Mustang. The original Mustang was created in the '60s for student players with smaller hands, but it later found cult popularity in the '90s and onwards with rock and indie guitarists due to its unique body shape and easy playability. The Bullet Mustang is a fantastic-value entry point into the Fender family and gives you easy playability, distinct aesthetics and a versatile range of tones. The Bullet Mustang has a lightweight basswood body with contours in all the right places to enable a very comfortable feel. The maple neck assists with the smooth playing feel, courtesy of its modern 12'' fingerboard radius and thin "C"-shaped neck profile. The guitar is loaded with dual humbuckers for a wide range of sounds with a higher output than the original '60s Mustang; perfect for creating overdriven sounds for modern rock. The Mustang offers a great balance of comfort, versatility and stand-out looks, giving you everything you need to get practising, recording, and gigging.

Please note: guitar pictured has rosewood fingerboard. Guitar for sale has laurel fingerboard. Images will be updated soon.

Classic Mustang Design

The Fender Mustang was originally created in the '60s as a student instrument due to its shorter (24'') scale length, which provides a smaller distance between the frets and a "slinkier" string feel for easier bends and vibrato. The Mustang found popularity several decades later with rock and indie players, and today the Squier Bullet Mustang gives many more players access to the Mustang's unique aesthetics and easy playability for both students and professionals alike.

 Short Scale Length Playability

The 24'' scale length gives a huge influence over the playing feel of the Squier Bullet Mustang. Fret spacing is closer, making every aspect of left hand fingering easier from chords to solo work. The shorter string length also makes string bends easier, perfect for players trying out new soloing techniques. The Bullet Mustang features modern neck specifications, including a very-flat 12'' fingerboard radius, thin "C"-shape profile, and satin finish. This makes it an easy to play instrument that all musicians will appreciate during long playing sessions, gigs and recordings.

Quality Tonewoods

The Squier Bullet Mustang features a basswood body which is lightweight for a comfortable feel when stood up. The basswood body gives a versatile range of tones and it is matched to a maple neck with a laurel fingerboard for additional sustain and resonance. Laurel provides the look, sound and feel of a traditional rosewood fingerboard and is chosen as a more environmentally-friendly alternative.

Reliable Performance

The Bullet Mustang has a fixed bridge with 6-saddles. This gives you full adjustment over every string along with enhanced tuning stability when compared to moving tremolo designs. The guitar features die-cast tuners which give accurate tuning and help the guitar remain in tune during longer sessions.

Dual Humbucker Pickups

The Mustang is loaded with two humbucker pickups which are higher output than the traditional Mustang single coils. This gives you the ability to play higher-gain styles of music including blues, rock and metal. With pickup control provided by a 3-way pickup selector switch, you'll be able to create biting bridge-position sounds, mellow neck-position tones, and a combined position sound - perfect for playing in all musical genres.

Reviews

Total Guitar Magazine gave the Squier Bullet Mustang HH 4-1/2 stars out of 5:

"Meanwhile, the 12-inch radius, rosewood ’board is pancake flat and makes string bends simple for even the most sausage-fingered player. The C profile neck is also extremely comfortable to hold, while the satin finish makes fretboard-spanning licks a doddle.

By today’s standards, £120 is practically peanuts to spend on a new guitar. For Squier to cram in the features it is, with the overall levels of build quality on display, is seriously impressive."

The Fender Mustang

The original Mustang was created as part of a revamp of Fender's student models during the 1960s, where the shorter scale-length and more manageable body proportions helped younger players approach the guitar. In the '90s the Mustang gained cult popularity with rock and indie musicians; today it is one of the most collectable of all the Fender short-scale instruments. The Mustang has a unique aesthetic and playing feel, making it popular with rock and grunge players. The guitar was discontinued in 1982 but Fender subsequently released signature models and reissues due to its enduring popularity.
