The iconic Custom 24 platform
The Custom 24 is the guitar that launched PRS in 1985 and remains one of the brand’s most recognisable models. The Custom 24-08 keeps the essential elements that define the design, including a maple top, mahogany back and neck, a 25” scale length and 24-fret layout. The violin-carved top and elegant bird inlays reinforce the classic PRS aesthetic, while the Pattern Thin neck profile provides a fast, comfortable playing feel suited to both rhythm and lead styles.
Eight versatile pickup combinations
The Custom 24-08 expands the tonal palette of the original Custom platform through its intuitive switching system. In addition to the three-way pickup selector, two mini-toggle coil-tap switches allow each humbucker to be split independently. This setup provides eight different pickup combinations, allowing players to move from full humbucking warmth to bright, articulate single-coil-style tones. The PRS TCI pickups deliver clear, musical output across all settings, making the guitar adaptable to a wide range of genres and playing styles.

The Custom 24-08 is equipped with PRS hardware engineered to maximise resonance and tuning stability. The PRS patented Gen III tremolo provides smooth, responsive action while maintaining exceptional tuning reliability. Phase III locking tuners with wing buttons reduce weight at the headstock, allowing the strings to vibrate more freely and helping the guitar sustain longer.
