Amp-like overdrive in pedal form
Unlike other overdrive pedals, this one took its inspiration from the overdrive of actual valve amps for an ultimate variety of British and American amp tones. The RevivalDrive offers an unbridged valve amp-like signal path, recreated in analogue electronics and replacing the valve with a discrete transistor-based circuitry for the ultimate performance. A faithful reproduction of classic amp tones, ranging from beautiful cleans to fully cranked soundscapes.
To ensure you receive the ultimate amp-like overdrive, this Origin pedal comes equipped with dual class A preamp stages. Perform with a realistic gain staging and a natural sounding clipping. Thanks to the addition of the phaser inverter and push-pull power amp stages, you are provided with an added realistic response for symmetrical harmonics, subtle crossover distortion, and a touch sensitive drive quality. The RevivalDrive also features a built-in reactive load, modelling the interactions between a real valve output stage and speaker cabinet to deliver the feel and harmonics of a real amp.
Extensive control for a personalised performance
Alongside its incredible tones, this model comes equipped with an intuitive control layout, offering the ultimate tone shaping capabilities. Both the valve and rectifier channels come equipped with a variety of independent control settings, letting you experiment with each element of both circuits, essentially redesigning the amp sound as you go. With the addition of the ghost, this pedal provides the ability to recreate the doubled-up tone or ghost note effect. Adjust the preamp voicing and bright capacitors for both a British and American amp sound. With its unique controls delivering excellent tone tailoring, the RevivalDrive can produce everything from clean and defined overdrives to full on brutal distortion.
Dip switch section
Another unique feature of this pedal is the trio of dip switches, which are located in between the DC and footswitch inputs. With these, you can fine tune the pedal to accommodate a wide variety of setups. Turn the valve rectifier channel into a secondary silicon rectifier channel, providing you with the ability to set up two similar amplifier sounds that can be switched during a performance. The second dip switch can be used to toggle the simulated mains output supply between American and British frequencies, altering the overall character of the ghost tones, whilst the third switch lets you use the pedal’s preamp-style tone shaping on flat-response amps and PAs, even when it's in bypass mode.
