The classic J-45 build
Displaying that world-renowned J-45 shape, the round-shoulder, dreadnought body promises wonderfully smooth playability and a beautiful richness of sound. Crafted from mahogany, the back and sides enhance the lower to midrange frequencies for a deep, warm acoustic tone. Mahogany has the ability to produce an incredibly full sound, an immersive quality that will undoubtedly capture anyone listening, whether you're in the studio or on stage. It is punchy, balanced, and perfect for glorious overtones.
The Sitka spruce top then compliments such a rich tonewood in sublime fashion and offers those shimmering trebles it begs for. Spruce enriches the higher frequencies to deliver the kind of bright clarity that will make every note sing magically. Its crisp articulation teams beautifully with the resonance of mahogany and is versatile enough to welcome any style of playing.
Smooth, dreamy fretting
Slide effortlessly across the divine mahogany neck. It is shaped with a slim taper for smooth and easy playing, meaning that whatever your style, you'll have great playability on your side. Mahogany is also supremely robust - it can take any ferocious or passionate fretting. And when you have a luscious Indian rosewood fretboard underneath your fingertips, you know you'll be sliding seamlessly and exuding smooth, tonal goodness right from the first strum.
Take to the stage
...with sleek LR Baggs VTC electronics. The controls are mounted to the soundhole, making them easy to reach and yet still allow the guitar to maintain its natural, acoustic aesthetic. The under-saddle pickup adds gorgeous warmth to any sound, making it truly engulfing and mesmerising to listen to. It also puts you in control. Thanks to "touch sensitive" low, mid, and high range frequency compressors, the way you play will be responded to with sparkling definition. Experience real-time dynamics and deliver a performance that is completely unique. The pickup also reacts to every tiny nuance of sound by utilising a flexible sensor that mirrors the soundboard's actual movements, so you can be sure that not an ounce of that shimmering acoustic tone will be lost.
Protection included
Never be without your prized guitar. And keep it protect on the road. A Gibson hardshell case is included to ensure the instrument retains its immaculate construction and divine sound. Showcasing premium quality, the case offers the J-45 Standard a supreme shield against any knocks and scrapes, so it won't suffer any damage when travelling from A to B. It will always be ready and waiting for you in pristine condition.
