The Taylor 814ce features a top crafted from 'singing' sitka spruce, which produces a versatile sound that yields crisp articulation and a broad dynamic range. Sitka's natural blend of strength and elasticity accommodates anything from heavier, more aggressive strumming and flat picking to lighter fingerpicking styles with equal ease. The 814ce's sitka spruce top also has a slightly wider uniform grain spacing that gives the top a distinctively appealing appearance and sonic-footprint. In addition, the sonically-versatile solid top is accompanied by cocobolo back and sides, offering a stunning yet eye-catching aesthetic with a superb tone. Cocobolo is known for its fairly bright tone that's emphasised by sparkling treble notes, offering a responsive, fast and articulate sound.
