Iceman Body Shape
Sharlee D'Angelo is the Swedish bass player for melodic death metal band, Arch Enemy, among others. His powerful performances require a guitar with a stand-out aesthetic, easy playability, and aggressive tones. The SDB3 signature bass guitar features the angular Iceman body shape to make a real impact, looks-wise. The monochrome design enhances the stand-out aesthetic, with white paint, black body binding, black hardware, and white cross inlays. If you're looking to make an impression on stage, this is the perfect instrument to do so.
Powerful PFR Pickups and 2-Band EQ
The PFR pickups give an aggressively-high output which is perfect for all modern styles of metal. The sound can be blended together using the blend dial, while the 2-band active EQ lets you sculpt your sound to exactly how you require. The active EQ design allows for both boosts and cuts, so you can really take your tone to the next level.
Mono-Rail Bridge
A Mono Rail MR4 bridge provides individual bridge saddles that are fully isolated from one another. This allows you to keep each string independent for maximum clarity in low-end riffing. The guitar comes factory-tuned to 1D#, 2A#, 3F, 4C, and the MR4 bridge gives the stability and resonance-transfer to make sure that each string rings to its full potential.
Fast Playing Neck
The SDB3 has a thin maple/walnut neck that maintains thickness across its entire length. This is ideal for giving easy reach across all 4 strings, while the 5pc design gives the strength and stability required for maximum sustain and tuning stability. The 305mm radius fingerboard is flat-enough to allow a comfortable balance across the strings, while the low-profile neck joint enables easy reach to the very highest frets.
