The Gibson Midtown Standard with Bigsby® provides the best attributes of Gibson's classic archtops with the innovative Gibson USA solid-body designs. Gibson USA blends historic design with modern styling for an incredible Gibson hybrid. It boasts a trimmed-down and more user-friendly body size and boasts solid-wood construction, rather than laminated top and back. The Midtown Standard with Bigsby® features twin ?57 Classic humbuckers, top-notch hardware, and a Bigsby® vibrato tailpiece. This guitar comes in Ebony Black.

Quality Body and Neck

The Gibson Midtown Standard with Bigsby® boasts a strategically chambered solid mahogany body for optimum resonance. The mahogany neck is carved to a fast, comfortable '60s-style profile that measures .800" at the 1st fret and .875" at the 12th, and capped with a bound fingerboard with 22 medium-jumbo frets. It features mirror dot inlays on the fingerboard, whilst the headstock bares the iconic Gibson logo.

'57 Classic Humbucking Pickups & The Bigsby Tailpiece

There are ?57 Classic humbucking pickups in the neck and bridge. So expect creamy, warm, yet articulate tones in the neck and raunchier crunch and scorching lead tones in bridge. Furthermore, switch to both-pickups using the three-way switch and experience round, funky tones. Like the legendary PAFs of the late '50s and early '60s, these humbuckers are made with genuine Alnico II magnets and wound with 42 AWG wire. The Bigsby® vibrato tailpiece extends the Midtown with Bigsby's playing range even more, with the aid of a TonePros® roller-saddle bridge, designed to keep you in tune even with heavy whammy action.
