Limited Edition Sprint Run Series
The limited edition Gibson Sprint Run series employs all your favourite features from the standard 2015 models but however includes locking Grover tuners instead of the G-Force automatic tuning system perfect for players who prefer manual tuning. Furthermore Gibson has also reduced the neck thickness for a quicker and more traditional playability.
Gibson '57 Classic & ’57 Plus Pickups
Loaded with a Gibson '57 Classic pickup in the bridge and a ’57 Plus in the neck position the Les Paul Studio Sprint Run produces a warm, clear and articulate sound with a distinctive vintage flavour. Synonymous with the sound of vintage Gibson guitars, the ’57 Classic and ’57 Plus humbuckers offer a crunchy high gain tone in the bridge and a smooth, responsive neck tone. Constructed from alnico II magnets, precise machine winding techniques and thicker 42E gauge wires the Studio Sprint Runs pickups produce a vintage high gain tone with dynamic, bright tones and balanced overtones.
Push/Pull Coil Split & Boost Switch
Incorporating push/pull coil splitting on both the volume controls the Gibson Les Paul Studio Sprint Run is capable of achieving both humbucking and single coil tones perfect for player who require an array of sounds.
Zero Fret Adjustable Brass Nut
The new Gibson 2015 zero fret nut offers players stability and consistency in their tone and playing. Thanks to the unique, patent applied for design, open strings will sound consistent and a lower action can be achieved without the traditional problems.
Improved Tune-O-Matic Bridge
For 2015, Gibson have made significant improvements to their famous 'Tune-O-Matic' bridge. The bridge can now be adjusted quickly using a hex wrench, allowing players to make fast and precise adjustments to the action of their guitar. When combined with the adjustable zero fret nut, the new bridge gives players an unprecedented level of quick set up options. Additionally the tune-o-matic bridge also features Titanium saddles which are proven to withstand and endure the abuse received from excessive playing and performing.
New PLEK Machine Set-Up
Gibson have utilised the German manufactured PLEK machine for many years now - these incredible machines can scan a guitar and apply a perfect, accurate fret dress and action to the guitar. The result is that each Gibson guitar comes out of the box ready to play without any adjustments required. For 2015, Gibson have fine-tuned the PLEK set up, resulting in one of the best feeling electric guitars ever made, with 27 percent lower fret wire across the fingerboard.
Les Paul's 100th Birthday
To mark the 100th birthday of the man who started it all, Les Paul, each 2015 Gibson USA guitar will feature a new signature on the headstock. The 'Les Paul 100' signature if a fitting tribute to one of the greatest players who ever lived. Each Gibson guitar in 2015 will also feature a high gloss lacquer finish for the ultimate in visual appeal, whilst each fingerboard will feature genuine Pearl inlays.
