Maple Topped Mahogany Body
The E-II Eclipse’s body is crafted from mahogany and features a maple top to enhance the guitar's natural bright character. The mahogany tonewood delivers a soft tone, with plenty of grind and bite to keep it well-balanced and create plenty of depth. The guitar’s appealing high end and full, tight low end ensures the overall tonality remains thick and firm, offering plenty of dynamics to accommodate a variety of musical styles. The body is finished in a smooth black satin colour with white binding and black hardware, creating a visually stunning and dark appearance.
Maple Neck, Ebony Fingerboard
The ESP E-II Guitar is equipped with a maple neck and ebony fingerboard, delivering warm, bright tones with plenty of depth and dynamics. The maple offers roundness to the tone, creating a bright characteristic with an excellent amount of sustain. The addition of an ebony fingerboard helps to tighten up the neck’s tone, giving it a defined feel, excellent clarity, and a fast attack. The maple and ebony combination creates a sparkling, sizzling high end, a muscular controlled bass response, and a snappy midrange with extra presence in the lower mids.
EMG 81 & 60 Pickups
The ESP Eclipse incorporates a set of powerful EMG 81 and 60 humbuckers, constructed from close aperture coils and ceramic magnets to deliver advanced detail and a truly meaty tone. EMG pickups are favoured by many professional musicians due to their unbeatable tone, active circuitry, high output, and low noise performance. Setting the guitar into the bridge position with deliver the thick, punchy tonality of the EMG 81, while the neck position produces the warm, crisp tones of the EMG 60.
Beautiful High-End Components
The guitar is finished off with a range of high-end components to ensure players receive the best playing experience possible. The Gotoh tune-o-matic bridge and tailpiece offers incredible string stability, enhancing the overall sustain and resonance while the Gotoh locking tuners improve tuning stability and reduces string slippage. The E-II Eclipse also features Schaller straplocks to protect against accidental strap release, ensuring players can deliver a powerful performance without the worry of dropping their guitar.
