Impressive & Well-Designed ML Body Shape
The ML features an impressive body shape which is guaranteed to make a strong statement on any stage. The ML shape was created by Dean Zelinsky in 1977 with the idea of spreading the mass of the body over a larger area, in order to maximise sustain and improve tone.
Mahogany Body Coupled With Quilt Maple Top
Mahogany is a fairly dense tonewood which creates a warm and rich tone with excellent depth. It also offers durability and a tone which will mature over the years, for a long lasting investment. A quilted maple top gives it a stunning and unique 3-dimensional appearance, as well as extending the tonal range. A mahogany body is the popular tonewood for punchy rock music.
V Neck & Ebony Fingerboard
The ML shape features a large, V-shaped headstock, which offers higher string angles and string length which ultimately contributes to the overall resonance. The mahogany, V shaped neck allows faster playing and is designed to it into some guitarist's hands more comfortably. The ML 40th Anniversary model features an ebony fingerboard which offers a very responsive, bright and snappy attack which works well with the warmth of the mahogany.
Loaded With USA DMT Capsule Pickups
This anniversary model is equipped with USA DMT Capsule Pickups that are made in house in sunny Tampa, Florida. These DMT Capsule pickups serve up punchy rock tones with great sustain. With both neck and bridge Capsule pickups, they have enough power to get noticed yet have excellent versatility to cover many different styles. Although especially for those biting, classic rock sounds of the 70's and 80's, these DMT Capsule Pickups definitely deliver.
