All the 66's in the Artist Series are solid-top, all-mahogany guitars in a deep gloss vintage sunburst finish. In line with traditional and high-end aesthetics, real mother of pearl and abalone inlays with rosewood appointments set the Artist Series instruments off.

Tone-optimising build

Construction techniques such as dovetail neck joints optimise the transfer of energy between the neck and body, with bi-level rosewood bridges carrying greater vibration to the top, improving tone and resonance. Hand-sanded, quarter-sawn braces encourage even more vibration as well as the solid, hand-selected tops delivering high quality soundboards with optimal tonal qualities.

Great hardware options

This CE model is fitted with SYS650 dual pickup system and EQ with tuner. Designed by B-BAND, the the SYS650 uses patented electret film technology instead of piezo materials. Incorporating an under saddle pickup and a transducer pick placed under the soundboard, either can be selected or you can blend between the two to find subtle changes in response for lead, picking or rhythm work. The system also has a fully chromatic precision tuner with backlit LCD screen, 3-bands of rotary EQ and a great notch control that identifies and deals with any feedback extremely well.
