Louder than a typical ukulele. The Gear4music Banjolele combines the neck of a ukulele with the body of a banjo. It uses a banjo head created by Remo, produced with a specific coating for crisp tones and enhanced clarity. Finished with a traditional frosted look, the banjo head makes each note sound distinct and increases the instrument's projection. With far greater volume than a standard or open-backed ukulele, you'll be able to perform small gigs without any amplification.
Built to be Taken Anywhere
Forgiving on your fingers, the soft nylon strings are easy to play and require little maintenance. Robust enough for life on the road, the banjolele's body has been crafted from laminate sapele wood, which is strong while remaining lightweight. The rest of the instrument has also been made from hardwood to ensure its durability, while the mixed base fretboard provides an improved responsive and playability. Closed-back, the instrument produces a sound that's both bright and resonant.
