The Mesa Boogie Mark Five features an entire history of Mesa Boogie Mark Series preamp circuits, giving you access to 9 different voices across 3 independent channels. This amp can create sounds for any style of playing; it is the perfect genre-hopping device for any gig or recording session.
3-Channel with Multiple Voices
The Mark Five's 3 channels feature independent EQ and voicing options, letting you fully sculpt your sound to match any musical style. The 9 voicing options are based on the back-catalogue of genuine Mark Series preamps and give you access to completely authentic vintage and modern sounds. They radically alter your tone and should be considered as separate amplifiers in their own right. Between the 3 channels you can access stunning cleans with depth and clarity, biting crunch tones just on the edge of overdrive, saturated lead sounds with mid-range punch, articulate modern sounds with blistering gain, and much, much more. No matter what sort of sound you require, you'll find it with the Mark Five.
Multi-Watt Settings
Each channel also features a 10/45/90-watt switch, letting you tailor the perfect level of headroom and breakup characteristics. These modes provide easy access to clipped power amp tones for vintage bite and saturated solos, or a wide-open headroom for stunning cleans and articulate riffs. An additional master Tweed control creates a Variac circuit for lower-voltage 'sag' and a vintage-feel, while the channel-assignable tube/diode rectification options let you change the power amp response from vintage to modern.
Master EQ, Reverb, Solo Boost
A master 5-band EQ gives the ability to radically alter your tone. The EQ section has appeared on all MARK Series amplifiers, giving you further sculpting options and a handy alternate tone to utilise. A buffered FX loop and all-tube, long spring reverb lets you integrate your effects pedals and saturate your tone in ambience, with each channel featuring an independent reverb-level control. The twin Master Volume controls allow you to set up a SOLO boosted tone, ready to switch to in an instant via the included footswitch.
Simul-Class Power and Bias Select
Mesa's patented Simul-Class power selects the perfect power amp response depending on your wattage choice. Simul-Class Power blends the best of Class A and Class A/B simultaneously to produce 90 Watts of pure tonal magic. Don't like the tone of the included 6L6 power tubes? Simply flick the bias switch and install your own EL34s without the worry of complex biasing.
Marine-Grade Cab
A marine-grade Baltic birch cab provides a resonant and open sound, courtesy of the open-back design. The Celestion Custom 90 projects your tone with clarity and punch, packed in a compact cab making it the ultimate, compact combo for gigging and recording musicians.
