Akai Professional MPC Sample Standalone Sequencer
Iconic MPC workflow in a compact format
For nearly 40 years, MPC has shaped modern music production. MPC Sample continues that legacy by placing the classic sampling and sequencing approach into a compact, approachable unit. The MPC Sample re-invents portable music making, combining hands-on pads, a dedicated sequencer and streamlined controls to deliver a fast and creative workflow.
The onboard MPC sequencer features real-time swing, classic note repeat, 960 pulses per quarter note resolution, Song Mode, and sequence recall for capturing spontaneous MIDI performances. Projects can also be loaded into MPC3, so you can continue production in the box when needed.
Expressive pads and intuitive visual control
The 16 RGB-lit MPC pads are velocity-sensitive and feature poly aftertouch, giving you detailed control over dynamics and expression. Shift functions unlock additional pad features, while the simplified button layout keeps core tasks within easy reach.
The 2.4 inch full-colour LCD offers clear waveform editing and parameter access, helping you fine-tune samples with confidence. A dedicated record gain knob, three real-time effects knobs, and the assignable legacy MPC fader provide immediate hands-on adjustment of pad parameters, effects, and performance settings.
Advanced sampling with powerful processing
MPC Sample is built around a fast sample-to-pad workflow. You can record from the internal mic, stereo line inputs, or directly over USB-C from Mac, Windows, iOS, or Android devices. Threshold-controlled and fixed-length sampling make loop capture accurate, while Chop Mode, lazy chopping, auto-snapping, real-time looping, warping, and repitch give you flexible editing tools. Internal resampling with effects and input record of knob effects add creative depth.
Four internal effects processors deliver 60 FX types across Pad FX, Knob FX, FlexBeat, and a master compressor with retro colour. Effects can be routed to main output, input, or per pad, with real-time processing of external inputs. With 32 stereo voices, fast disk streaming, up to 20 minutes per sample, and support for multiple file formats including WAV, AIFF, FLAC, and MP3, it handles detailed productions in a portable frame.
Portable design with full connectivity
Designed for mobility, MPC Sample features a rechargeable lithium-ion battery offering around five hours of continuous playback. The built-in 3-watt speaker and internal microphone support standalone recording and monitoring. USB-C handles power, audio and MIDI in and out, and SD card file transfer to and from your computer or smart device.
Comprehensive rear connections include stereo 1/4 inch TRS line-level inputs and outputs, 1/8 inch TRS headphone output, MIDI in and out with midi-through capability, and 1/8 inch TRS CV sync out with configurable rates. With 8GB internal storage, microSD expansion, 2GB RAM, and compact dimensions of 23.6 by 19.4 by 5.0 cm, it is ready to slot into your setup at home or on the move.
