Incredible quality

Featuring a matched pair of half-inch true condenser capsules, the VideoMic X records broadcast-quality audio. It is configured in an X-Y formation so it picks up a wide range of audio in the environment whilst focusing on the subject. The cardioid pattern allows for isolating the subject whilst picking up a touch of ambient for immersive recordings. It features digital switching on the rear of SVMX which allows you to control the level adjustment as well as a high-pass filter. If you need more focus on the high end there is a +6dB high-frequency boost.

Record in confidence. The microphone is housed in all-metal construction. This robust microphone produced high levels of resistance to RF interference, meaning that when there is a lot of gear on the set - you can get amazing quality recordings. In addition to RF shielded 3.5mm stereo output cable there is an outer dome structure provides physical protection for the sensitive capsules.
