While it provides many ways of achieving control over bass frequencies, make no mistake - the MAUI 44 G2 SUB is as rugged as they come. A tough polyurea-coated housing, a shockproof grille, and two handles for easy lifting ensure this subwoofer can travel or stay in place readily. With a maximum SPL output of 126 dB, its uncompromising bass down to 37 Hz will be felt throughout any venue or across any tour.
Cutting-edge Design
While the MAUI SUB has the power and reliability you'd come to expect from a subwoofer, it also boasts some advanced design approaches to create a well-rounded and feature-packed system. High-resolution Bluetooth connectivity will allow you to play any music you like before the show begins, giving you direct control over the mood of the venue without compromising on sound quality. Automatic set-up detection allows the MAUI SUB to integrate with your MAUI G2 Column PAs quickly. LD's DynX DSP ensures clarity and quality, no matter what volume it's being driven at.
Cardioid Mode
One of the biggest issues in live mixing has been the omnidirectionality of low frequencies, but not anymore. With a Cardioid mode new to LD Systems subwoofers, you can keep the bass firing forwards. You can also use this mode to prevent feedback loops and bass escaping from the back. Pairing a MAUI SUB with an existing MAUI Column unit, turning the SUB unit towards the back and pressing the Cardioid button will dampen the back by -15 dB, providing controlled attenuation to make sure the show sounds its very best.
