Bringing big synth polyphony to the Eurorack format; the Poly Cinematic provides you with all the tools you need to create powerful and rich sounds. From plucky stabs to atmospheric pads; the Poly Cinematic is perfect for sound designers and live performers, allowing you to evolve your tonal ideas at the turn of a knob. Featuring a dedicated control for each parameter, the Poly Cinematic truly puts you in the driving seat when sculpting your sound.

With eight-voice polyphony, the Poly Cinematic features between 3 and 7 oscillators per voice with three different wave types to choose from. In total, you’re presented with 56 oscillators allowing you to create massive cinematic sounds with ease. You can select between Super Saw, Square and Tonehweel Organ waves using the dedicated switch. You cant then fine-tune or detune your sound using the precision dials. There are also three modes for each of the waveforms that provide their own unique results.

Adaptive micro-tuning for advanced tonal control

One of the most unique features of the module is the adaptive micro-tuning capabilities allowing you to get in-depth with your sound design. Normally reserved for high-end desktop synths, adaptive micro-tuning listens to notes as you play them and either flattens or sharpens the pitch depending on where the note falls within a cord. This will only work with chords, not single notes, providing a richer and more harmonic chord as the end result.

Pad/Chord mode

Toggle between poly/chord modes by holding in the ‘Shift’ button and pressing the holding Trigger for three seconds (or via MIDI CC). When chord mode is activated, the module will play finger chords from the chord memory. You can access the chord memory by changing the modulation wheel setting or the ‘Chord Select’ voltage.

Chord memory and CV patching

Providing the missing link between MIDI and CV/Gate connectivity; the Poly Cinematic features ‘Chord Memory’. When pressing the Trigger button (or send a gate signal to the Trigger input), the Poly Cinematic will play a single note and continue to play until you release the button or turn off the gate signal. If you connect the module via MIDI and play it, the onboard chord memory will continuously keep the last note or chord you play within its memory and assign it to the button.

Once you connect a CV signal into the Chord Select input, you can then select one of the eight memory slots to record the chord to. It is a great composition tool which you can use for a variety of applications.
