Detailed tine piano modelling for expressive tone

The Seventeen features a fully modelled tine piano, recreating the sound and behaviour of classic electric pianos. This sound is not based on a specific model, but includes adjustable parameters that let you fine-tune everything from hammer tip hardness to damper release levels. The result is a responsive instrument that reflects the subtleties of your playing, from mellow jazz to sharp funk.

Nine tone variations are built in, along with controls for sympathetic resonance, pickup offset, pedal noise and felt level. These small adjustments make a big difference to the final output, letting you create the exact response you’re looking for. This level of control gives players a tactile, engaging experience similar to the real instrument.

High-quality samples with realistic response

The second sound engine is built for sample playback, using Crumar’s proprietary multisampling process. Each instrument is captured without looping and with up to twelve velocity layers, ensuring dynamic expression across all key ranges. Sounds include acoustic grands, reed pianos, clavinet, digital pianos and more, giving you a broad palette to work with.

Physical modelling is also applied to sampled material, adding interaction between the keys, pedals and internal components. You can adjust key parameters like attack and release time, filter response and pedal noise level to shape each sound to suit your set. With expansion support for additional sample sets, you’ll be able to keep updating your instrument over time.

Full effects suite built in

Onboard effects remove the need for external processors. Two effects slots handle modulation, offering tremolo, auto-panner, wah and phaser effects, all adjustable via depth and speed controls. A separate amp simulation section features five amplifier models with overdrive, giving you access to clean and driven tones straight from the unit.

Reverb options include nine different spaces such as studio, hall and church, each with adjustable decay and level. The delay section offers mono or ping-pong options, with full control over time, level and feedback. You also get a three-band EQ with a tunable mid frequency, helping you quickly adapt your sound to different spaces or mixes.
