Unique AAA+ Flamed Maple Top
For the high performance version of Les Paul Standard, Gibson topped its mahogany body with incredibly stunning and unique AAA+ grade flamed maple. The use of maple provides a stylish tiger stripe effect, which is beautifully recognisable throughout the stunning finish and unique to every guitar. The Les Paul is also trimmed in a vibrant white binding along the edge, which breaks up the solid block colour and adds an essence of elegance to the design.
Ultra Modern Weight Relief
The Gibson Les Paul Standard HP features an ultra-modern weight relief chambered body for extra comfort and an enhanced resonance. This weight-relief process involves routing nine round holes in the mahogany body before the stunning maple top is attached. These holes are strategically placed in the lower bouts on the bass-side of the guitar, creating a comfortably lightweight guitar that can be played all night long without strain.
Asymmetrical Slim Taper Neck Profile
This Asymmetrical design provides one of the most comfortable and playable necks ever offered on any guitar. This ergonomically-correct profile is tapered and designed to be thicker on the bass side, and thinner on the treble side. This design closely outlines the natural form of the hand as it grips the neck, offering an incredibly smooth and comfortable performance. Overall, this particular neck offers comfort and allows for flexible hand movement along the whole neck.
Burstbucker Rhythm Pro & Lead Pro+
The 2018 Gibson Guitar is equipped with a set of powerful Pro pickups, with the Rhythm Pro offering incredible tones at the neck while the Lead Pro+ delivers a sharp attack in the bridge position. These humbuckers are constructed with alnico 5 magnets to deliver a fat, meaty tone, with plenty of drive and attack for producing powerful chords and solos. Delivering a classic Gibson PAF tone with a hint of attitude, these pickups feature extra noise reduction to keep things quiet even in a high-gain rig.
Controls Offer Incredible Tonal Capabilities
Its two pickups feature independent volume and tone controls, with push/pull functions on all four knobs to deliver incredible tonal possibilities. Its high-performance aviation grade toggle switch makes flicking between pickups quick and easy, while the addition of a DIP switch provides players with over 150 reversible instant wiring options for the ultimate versatility.
G Force Auto-Tuning System with Smooth & Silent Gears
The G force self-tuning system is an innovative system which makes tuning your guitar quick and easy. Each machine head contains a small servo motor that can wind the string up or down, which is activated by a device attached to the headstock. Simply pushing the on button and strumming the guitar sets this device into action, perfectly tune your guitar in an instant. Along with standard tuning, players can set the G Force to a range of alternative or custom tunings. It also allows players to tune to instruments that are in tune with themselves but not to concert pitch, add pitch offsets to individual strings, and allows tuning with a capo. Powered by a rechargeable battery, the G Force system provides up to 100 tunings on one single charge, and also allows for manual tuning.
Aluminium Tune-O-Matic Bridge
The Tune-O-Matic bridge offers stability, reliability, a comfortable playing position, and impressive sustain. Adjusting the string action and intonation is extremely simple with a tune-o-matic bridge, as you simply adjust its height with the mounting rods to alter the action, and screw the bridge saddles in or out to achieve perfect intonation. The separate "stop bar" tailpiece is designed to further enhance the connection between the strings and the body, offering greater vibration transfer for an enhanced resonance.
Titanium Zero-Fret Adjustable Nut
The Titanium Zero-Fret Adjustable nut is a superior nut design due to its exceptional adjustability to match various playing styles. This innovative nut benefits from an all-titanium construction for extreme durability, and a retaining screw so the nut stays in place when you change strings. Like with bridge adjustments, the Zero-Fret Nut allows you to adjust the height and angle, for the optimum feel.
