The Hot Rod is a take on the classic with design touches including ivory pointer knobs, steel-reinforced strap handle, and an improved control panel texture/graphics. Thanks to these features, your amplifier features a more ‘boutique’ look with a refined and classic aesthetic. Not only does this cab look great, but it also has a high-quality build. Its pine construction, corner protectors, and a rugged carry handle give the Hot Rod a reliable package ready to withstand the rigours of a musician’s life. Practice sessions, rehearsals, last-minute jam sessions, large gigs, the possibilities are endless with this portable and highly versatile cab.
This amplifier has been the ideal choice for guitarists needing a versatile, powerful, portable, and reliable gigging solution. Fender’s IV model included user requested features such as a modified tone circuit, improved reverb, and an updated aesthetic. Thanks to these updates, this amplifier has become hugely popular for all occasions.
Designed with a modified preamp circuit, this model increases clarity at higher levels. It comes equipped with three channels - normal, drive, and more drive. With these channels, you are provided with a wide range of foot-switchable gain levels. The new design ensure that, no matter how hard toy push the drive level, you’ll still retain clarity and articulation. If you need your amplifier to provide every gain level without the need for pedals, the Hot Rod is for toy. However, it can also handle pedals perfectly.
Also featured on this model is a three-band EQ that allows you to tweak your tone exactly how you require. Thanks to its presence dial, you are able to fine-tune the overall high-end response, while a bright switch allows you to adapt the amp to darker-sounding instruments. The addition of the spring reverb provides a lush ambience over your voicing and has been modified to maintain clarity.
The Deluxe IV has been equipped with 12AX7 and 6L6 valves for the perfect balance between preamp saturation and power amp headroom. Its 40W of power effortlessly drives the fitted 12” speaker, allowing enough volume to play gigs and rehearse. This amplifier has achieved enduring popularity due to its mid-range volume, compact size, and versatile tones. It has the ideal power to allow it to go from the practice room to the stage, with tonal sculpting and authentic valve tones as an added benefit.
