The Dean EAB Fretless features a versatile spruce top which not only offers a pale grain, its uniform grain also yields crisp articulation blended with a powerful projection. Spruce is commonly used to craft instrument tops because it generates a versatile sound that can accommodate many different genres and playing techniques with equal ease, from aggressive strumming to fingerpicking styles. Its brightly toned top is coupled with mahogany back and sides which deliver meaty-mids, producing punchy, woody tones with plenty of depth and complexity to please most playing styles.
The Dean EAB's neck is constructed from mahogany, which offers a rich and resonant sound that responds greatly to numerous playing styles and techniques with ease. The EAB Fretless features a C shaped neck that will ensure and smooth and comfortable play throughout, preventing the likeliness of a cramping hand. The neck is topped with a fretless rosewood fingerboard, offering a smooth and energetic play. Its smooth playing rosewood fingerboard also adds warmth to the overall sound. In addition to all these features, the EAB also has a fretless fingerboard. The unique nature of a fretless fingerboard has a more fluid playability and transparent transitions, perfect for experienced and aspiring players alike.
