Unique Ukulele Design
The Bohemian Oil Can Ukulele in Moonshine finish is one of many unique designs based on improvised tin-can instruments from the streets of South Africa. It is constructed from a hollow metal body which interacts with custom pickup to produce a truly original sound. The metal responds in a completely unique way when compared with traditional wooden instruments and allows for brand new tones to be achieved. The range of Bohemian ukuleles feature different visual designs to choose from, all with a striking graphic-design basis. If you're looking for something truly different, you've found the right instrument here!
The Moonshine Model
The Bohemian Moonshine model from Bohemian Guitars features a single pickup to transfer the unique acoustic tone of this instrument to an amplifier. It includes a single volume and tone control so you can tailor the sound to exactly how you like it. The body is finished with a stylish Moonshine graphic design and will really stand out from the crowd.
Metal Hollow Body
The Bohemian Moonshine Ukulele features a hollow metal body and is braced with wood for stability. It offers great resonance and unmatched responsiveness. The neck extends through the body to ensure stable tuning and performance. Each instrument features small rubber knobs to act as a built-in stand, and they have removable lids which are perfect for storing picks and small accessories. This is a lightweight instrument with an effortlessly stylish look.
Familiar Necks
Bohemian Guitars now exclusively use maple necks for environmental sustainability and bright tones. They feature 19 frets with excellent access to the top frets and a familiar 13" scale length. For ukulele players, this will provide a familiar experience and mean that your songs will transfer across easily to this instrument.
Electronics & Hardware
Chrome hardware is featured on Bohemian ukuleles with reliable closed screw-in tuners. A Hardtail Topload bridge allows for intonation setup and stable tuning. A volume and tone control offer tone-shaping so your amplified sound can be exactly how you like it.
Bohemian Guitars
Bohemian Guitars was founded by brothers Adam and Shaun Lee to replicate the improvised guitars that they had seen on the streets of their hometown of Johannesburg, South Africa. After bringing the idea to the USA and making instruments for friends and family, they took the plunge and formed a company with financial backing from KickStarter donations.
Bohemian Guitars produce instruments which have a truly distinctive look and sound. They have a vibrant community of players & endorsers, and an active participation in charity work. Bohemian Guitars are also committed to environmental sustainability by using partially recycled materials, less wood than typical guitars, and the use of sustainable forests or reclaimed timbers.
