Revolutionary range of phasing possibilities
As well as retaining classic phaser voices, the Horizont gives you an outstanding depth of choice when it comes to waveforms. Ramp up, ramp down, square wave, triangle, sinus, sweep, random steps, and random slopes voices all provide their own unique take on the archetypal phaser sound. Embrace the freedom to create something entirely original.
The cleanest phasing yet
Don't let your effects be ruined by unwanted feedback. The Horizont's delivery has unparalleled clarity and definition thanks to a boosted internal circuit. An increased voltage of 18V (from the usual 9V) gives you lots of room for experimentation without the worry of your sound being wrecked by feedback. This means you can completely alter your sound with effects, and it'll always sound crisp and clear.
Combine with other effects
Be as inventive as you desire. Equipped with an FX-loop, KMA's Horizont allows you to add extra effects pedals in addition to the phaser. This means your sound possibilities are wider than the Milky Way. Experiment with creating your own, one-of-a-kind, blended phaser voices and completely unleash your artistic potential.
Tempo tap keeps you in time
When heavy effects are applied to your playing, it can make you lose your timing. A built-in tempo tap feature makes sure that you can phase as wildly and extensively as you wish without this ever happening. The tempo tap synchronises with each of the pedal's effects, making it the ideal aid for live performance and studio recording.
Control Dials
- Signal: Determines overall signal level
- Mix: Blends between fully phase-shifted (Vibrato, CCW) and the clean signal (cw)
- Depth: Sweep between low frequency, full spectrum or high frequency phasing
- Spurt: Sets your phasing speed from 0.05Hz (20s) up to 2Hz (40ms)
- Reg: Controls the amount of feedback when in EMPH mode
- Fuel: Sets the sensitivity of the envelope trigger from low (ccw) to high (cw)
- Decay: Dial in your preferred envelope decay time from fast (40ms) to very slow (6s)
- Waveform: Full control of eight different waveforms (Ramp Up/Down, Square, Triangle, Sinus, Sweep, Random Steps, and Random Slopes)
Control Switches
- EMPH Mode: Activates a master feedback loop to generate new tones by using the regenerate (REG) control and the EMPH-stage switches
- EMPH Stages (1-4): Decide which stage you want to feed back the phase shifted signal, different stages yield different sounds
- Attention:Some combinations have a huge boost in output level, dial it back and then adjust it to your needs afterwards
- SWP: Choose between two modes for the phase sweep, either LFO-controlled (LFO) or dynamically controlled by your attack
- ENV: Defines the direction of the envelope, either an upwards (UP) or downwards (DWN) going envelope
- Spurt Control: Sets the method to control the LFO-spurt-rate, either dynamically by the envelope itself (e.g. harder picking means slower/faster rate), the pure LFO or combining the envelope control and the spurt knob
- Stereopan: Activates/deactivates the panning mode for the stereo-output, the panning is synchronized with the LFO speed
- EXP Mode: Plug in your expression-pedal/CV source and choose between controlling the speed of the phasing (left) or manual sweeping (right), the middle position deactivates the EXP mode
