A wide range of controls allow you to tweak and edit your source audio to suit your needs. This includes Source Speed, Distance Attenuation, Microphone Distance and Time to Peak. You also can choose from a wide range of microphone types and immersive audio formats including mono (omni, cardioid, figure-of-eight), stereo (MS, XY, ORTF, Blumlein, AB), 5.1, 7.1, 9.1 Dolby Atmos bed, or Ambisonics (up to 3rd order).
One of the most ground-breaking features of the Doppler is the Distance EQ which recreates the frequency response you’d get from air dampening. You can also specify how the distance is measured with three real-world units to choose from including Feet, Metres, Mph and Km/h. It captures the characteristics of sound passing by with the utmost accuracy and attention to detail. When sound is passed through the air at distance it affects the pitch, level and tonality of the sound which is what Doppler replicates with incredible realism.
Get the perfect stereo image every time. With Doppler, you can set the time where you want the peak of the Doppler. When specified, Doppler will automatically sync all the other parameters to get the perfect sync with the image. Not only that but you can use an external control surface to edit the plugin's parameters for deep integration.
Subtle details are what separate the good from the great. With Air, you can hone in on the specifics to put your project above the rest. Close-by objects don't sound the same as faraway objects. Create distance and space between audio sources, whether it's an object or dialogue with Air to enhance realism in your recordings without ever needing to re-shoot a scene again.
In the world of TV and film overdubbing, a constant challenge is to set your studio-recorded vocals in the same space as the physical actor and make it believable. This process of Automated Dialogue Replacement (ADR) creates a barrier of immersion where your audience won't be able to connect with the characters' dialogue if they do not believe it sounds natural. Air helps in achieving incredibly natural-sounding distancing, allowing you to place your audio in a convincing space to help boost audience immersion.
Air comes loaded with a wealth of pre-made simulated spaces including Antarctica and Death Valley and also offers the ability to simulate your own desired space by adjusting the onboard parameters. No matter if your scene is in the desert, forest or indoors, you'll be able to create a harmonious on-screen to audio relationship for all of your viewers.
Applicable for just about any audio function, Air is also an extremely useful tool for studio musicians, engineers and mixers. Ideal for adjusting the brightness of instruments, busses or even full mixes without affecting the timbre and tone of the source. When mixing, you must create space for each instrument to occupy whilst sounding cohesive and glued together. Using Air to create a subtle treble roll-off with a soft slope will help fit instruments fit together seamlessly to avoid sounding too bright or harsh. As Air is optimised for performance, the plug-and-play nature of the plug-in will quickly establish itself as your go-to in the studio.
An often underappreciated aspect of the creative process, panning your instruments can have a profound impact on the energy and movement of your tracks. Energy Panner offers a unique solution for placing your tracks across the stereo field based on the intensity of each track. Using proprietary analysis algorithms, Energy Panner determines the intensity of your audio and lets you move them from stereo, Dolby Atmos, 7.1 or even Binaural outputs. Imagine moving your drums on the beat, panning your staccato synths to the attack or even spreading your vocals on the soft tail of your note and this is what Energy Panner can do for you.
With two modes of operation, Energy Panner enables complete control over your dynamic movement within your mix. Panning mode works much like a traditional panner, allowing you to move your sound source from one point to another. This is a user-defined point-to-point system where you can choose to move your heavy drums one from point in the stereo field to the next to create a moving drum loop that adds interest and excitement to electronic music productions.
Alternatively, the Sliding Mode offers a more nuanced approach, whereby you can create trajectory entirely to your design. Whenever the audio reaches a certain set threshold value, the sound source will move however not return to the starting point when complete. Instead, the sound source will freeze in that position until the audio exceeds the threshold again.
For such a powerful and flexible tool, a sleek and innovative interface is needed. Presented via a single on-screen controller appropriately named 'The Dome', the interface of the Energy Panner is designed to be user-friendly straight out of the box, providing everything you need to make adjustments in one screen. Extracting all possible parameters and avenues for sound design in Energy Panner is done on one screen, saving time by eliminating the need for any tedious and time-consuming menu-diving. Employing a single drag and drop design, you can customise the panning parameters within The Dome by hand to draw in your customised changes.
The surrounding parameters house the flexible sound design options that Energy Panner has to offer, without being overly complicated. A simple two-way switch above The Dome changes the mode of operation which will correspond to a change in colour, while switches to the left will adjust the different types of movement available.
Taking a basic principle such as panning and transforming it into something unique and creative is always a difficult task. Brightness Panner offers a unique take on panning through the proprietary frequency analysis algorithms, resulting in your sounds being placed across the stereo field for added excitement and movement. Presenting two different modes, Panning and Sliding, Brightness Panner delivers a wide range of functionality to change how your panning operates.
In Panning mode, the user interface allows you to spread your audio across the spectrum end-to-end, where the sound will move from one point to the next. In Sliding Mode, however, whenever your audio signal is within the frequency or pitch range, the audio moves based on your user-defined trajectory. With this possibility, you can create a path whereby the audio does not move to the starting position when the audio is stopped, therefore freezing the position until the audio starts again. This is an extremely effective way to create exciting movement and space within your mix for added immersion for your listeners.
Brightness Panner employs three analyser modes to offer flexible movement for a wide range of inputs. Control the panning of your sound based on the brightness, pitch or even MIDI signals to create a greater variety of trajectories. Each mode uses the embedded frequency analysis of the input source to distribute the sounds around you in your chosen spectral field.
The brightness mode is the main function of Brightness Panner. Using intelligent onboard spectral centroid calculations, the frequency content of your audio source is analysed and set to your user-defined parameters. For example, the higher the centroid of a sound, the closer the sound source will be to the endpoint you have set within the dome.
