Potential Applications

• Using With A Microphone: By simply plugging a microphone into the XLR input of your 500 Series power rack (PreMax provides phantom power via a recessed switch for condenser mics), the PreMax can be used for instant recording to your chosen recording device. The PreMax fulfills a lot of functions automatically, meaning all you have to do is adjust the level to your liking, set the EQ, and you're ready to record
• Using With An Instrument: The PreMax allows you to quickly and easily record instruments directly by simply plugging your instrument into the back of the PreMax (in the Omniport 1/4'' connection, only available when used in a Radial Workhorse power rack), press the Mic/Inst input selection switch at the bottom of the front panel, and you're set
• Using For Broadcast Applications: The PreMax provides quick and easy operation for broadcast and voice-over applications in post-production. Combining a low-noise front-end with a 3-band EQ that features astounding sonic characteristics, the PreMax ensures that you can achieve excellent results in no time at all

Controls & Connectivity

• Gain: AccuState™ gain control sets the sensitivity and gain simultaneously for maximum signal-to-noise at all levels
• 180°: Polarity reverse control used to phase-align two microphones, match up with vintage non-AES standard gear, or help to eliminate acoustic hot spots when used live
• LEDs: Signal and Peak LEDs provide visual feedback regarding your signal status
