Authentic Playing Experience
Using newly developed Responsive Hammer Compact II keyboard action, this digital piano is able to reproduce the authentic touch of an acoustic grand piano. It uses an accurate triple-sensor key detection system to enable enhanced playing realism. The added third sensor improves responsiveness when playing the same key repeatedly. This allows the sound of a single note to be gradually ‘layered’ without the previous tone being lost. This hammer action technology also provides a greater range of expression between staccato and legato playing.
Traditional Piano Sound
The KDP110 digital piano incorporates the same stunning sound as Kawai's highly acclaimed concert grand piano. All 88 keys of the grand piano have been carefully recorded, analysed and reproduced using advanced harmonic imaging technology. By recording each key individually the rich harmonics of the grand piano are preserved. This guarantees that any sound produced whilst playing any of the KDP110's keys is an honest representation of the original acoustic source.
Complementary Digital Functions
The KDP110 offers a variety of beneficial digital functions to complement its classic keyboard touch. This includes a selection of different instrument voices, built-in lesson songs, and the ability to record and playback your performance.
The built-in lesson function is suitable for student pianists as it allows them to study classical piano using a collection of Czerny, Burgmüller, and Beyer etudes. The left and right hand parts of each etude or song can be practised separately, with the built-in metronome and adjustable tempo controls helping to improve timing and rhythm.
The KDP110 also offers players a variety of additional instrument sounds, including electric pianos, organs, harpsichord, vibraphone, and strings. The dual playing mode allows two different instrument sounds to be played together for a more complex sound and creative performance.
With both Bluetooth MIDI and USB-MIDI connectivity, the piano is able to be connected to a computer for notating compositions or to synthesisers and work stations. The Bluetooth technology means the piano can be conncted to supported smart devices wirelessly. This allows players to expand the KDP110's functionality with a wide range of education, performance, and scoring apps. The additional dual headphone socket is perfect for students as it allows both themselves and their teacher to study together in silence.
