The YC73 comes equipped with Yamaha’s newly designed VCM Organ engine, built to model the actual behaviour of transistors, resistors and tonewheel circuits. It replicates four organ types, including clean, aged and character-rich tones. You can adjust drawbar footages, key click, leakage, and rotary speaker response for a completely personalised organ sound – all in real time.

Physical drawbars with ratcheting movement bring you closer to the traditional organ experience, while custom LED colours help you easily distinguish between upper and lower manual setups.

Drawbars with feedback you can feel

What sets the YC73 apart is the tactile feel of its drawbars. Designed to respond like analogue counterparts, they provide satisfying haptic feedback. Each drawbar is see-through and equipped with LED indicators, so you always know your configuration at a glance – even in low lighting on stage.

It’s a truly visual and physical playing experience that keeps your hands connected to the music.

Authentic electric piano feel

The 73-key Balanced Hammer Standard keyboard strikes a perfect middle ground. It’s lighter than an acoustic piano but gives more resistance than an organ keybed, making it ideal for expressive electric piano playing while still versatile enough for organ and synth work. Matte black keytops also add a refined grip under the fingers.

Sounds that fit any set

While the organ engine is the headline feature, the YC73 doesn’t stop there. It comes loaded with two Yamaha concert grand pianos, a variety of classic electric pianos and FM synth sounds – all instantly switchable and tweakable on the fly. Whether you’re layering strings with organ or dropping into a clavinet solo, the YC73 handles it smoothly thanks to high polyphony and streamlined live set storage.

Designed for life on stage, its front panel puts everything within easy reach – no deep diving required. You also get a solid bundle of insert effects, reverb, rotary speaker types, and a 3-band EQ, all packed into a lightweight chassis with flexible outputs and pedal control.
