Key Features
The Yamaha YC61 is built for gigging keyboard players after expressive organ playability and flexible sound design. Its standout feature is the Virtual Circuitry Modelling (VCM) engine, delivering detailed recreations of vintage tonewheel organs, complete with physical drawbars for real-time control. The nine drawbars have a ratcheted, haptic feel and customisable LED stops, giving you visual and tactile feedback at a glance. Add in the waterfall keyboard designed for accurate organ response, and you've got a board that feels as good as it sounds.
The YC61 also covers acoustic pianos, FM synths, and electric keys, making it a strong all-rounder for live sets. Housed in a rugged aluminium chassis and weighing just 7.1kg, it's made to travel easily and hold up to daily use. With quick-access controls and pro-level connections, the YC61 fits seamlessly into any live setup.

The YC61’s VCM Organ engine captures the behaviour of tonewheel circuitry with incredible precision. It goes beyond simple sampling by modelling the components of classic organ circuits. That means you get true-to-life key click, leakage, rotary speaker response and more. The nine physical drawbars let you sculpt your sound in real time, just like a vintage organ. They even have customisable LED lights, so you can visually distinguish between upper and lower settings at a glance.
The semi-weighted waterfall keyboard was developed specifically for this instrument. It provides the fast, fluid action organists expect, with just enough resistance to play expressively. Whether you’re gliding between notes or playing sharp stabs, the YC61 delivers a natural and comfortable response. It also adapts well to acoustic piano, synth leads, and brass parts – giving you one responsive surface for multiple playing styles.
Though built for organists, the YC61 includes a wide range of other sounds. Two concert grand pianos, classic FM electric pianos, and layered synth textures make it a complete performance tool. Each sound is editable using intuitive front panel controls, with no complex menus slowing you down mid-set. This versatility means the YC61 can handle everything from jazz and soul to pop and funk – all without switching instruments.
The YC61 has been designed with touring in mind. Its aluminium chassis keeps the weight down without compromising strength, and the whole unit comes in at just 7.1kg. Professional audio outputs and dedicated pedal inputs make it easy to integrate into any rig. Combined with the clear display and knob-per-function layout, the YC61 is built to keep up with the demands of gigging life.
