Mahogany Body and Maple NeckWith the Ibanez constructed from a Mahogany Body and Maple neck, the guitar produces a plethora of tones that are exceptionally balanced and provides it with plenty of depth. Creating a warm soft tone, the Mahogany body brings with it the grind and bite to give it its roughness, whilst the Maple neck helps keep things tight and bright, with the two working together to give sparkle and sizzle to the highs, a strong snappy attack to its midrange and keeps its lows firm and thick.
Nitro Wizard Neck
The use of Ibanez's own Nitro Wizard III neck allows for the S770PB to be extremely playable and optimized for lead guitarists as the thin nature of the neck helps to perform swift and nimble guitar runs seamlessly whilst retaining enough substance to ensure a thick and full resonance when playing rhythm patterns and chords.
Edge Zero II Tremolo
The Ibanez Edge-Zero II Tremolo is a high performance double locking tremolo that answers the problems many people have with floating tremolos, keeping the bridge level whilst adjusting tunings. With the innovative Zero Point system the Edge-Zero retains its neutral and balanced position regardless of the tension adjustments allowing quicker tuning and a hassle free set-up.
Furthermore the addition of locking tuners allows an even greater tuning stability as the end of the string is locked into the machine head before being rotated into position. This technique also allows for quicker re-stringing as the string does not have to be wound so many times to retain a secure hold on the tuning peg.
Over the past 30 years, Ibanez Guitars have always been at the forefront of developing the right tools for Electric Guitar players pushing the boundaries of music. For decades, Ibanez designers and luthiers have been the embodiment of this ideology, pushing their skills to the edge of imagination, consistently creating some of the most versatile and unique instruments ever. Although Ibanez guitars have been made since 1908, it wasn't until the late 1980’s that they began to form an identity for themselves when artists such as Steve Vai and Frank Zappa began using their instruments. Now with a huge artist clientele across the globe Ibanez are a leading manufacturer of electric guitars and basses and a first choice for many dedicated musicians.
